Freaking out at 20!
All of my friends (including myself) are sorta freaking out. We’re all in college and realizing that every decision we make from now on will directly affect how our lives will turn out. As a teen, I was used to decisions being made by my parents. I always had my two cents to say about it but never truly understood the difficulty of making decisions. It’s really scary!
We’re all regretting the majors we chose. Some, like me, chose their majors motivated by money and the speed it would take to get their degree. Others went with what their parents told them to do while some went with their heart. As for money, many of us made poor financial decisions. Many of my friends already have thousands of dollars in credit card debt. It’s scary to think that we are in charge of our future, of our destiny. If we mess up, it’ll be our fault NOT our parents’ or some other adult in our life. We now have to decide which direction we want our lives to take and to be completely honest I AM FREAKING OUT!!!!
May 2010 bring us all some clarity!
